Cambridge, UK, May 3rd, 2022 – QPT today announced the launch of its qGaN(TM) module to unleash the full performance potential of Gallium Nitride (GaN) power transistors in motor drives for HVAC heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
QPT has unveiled qDesign, an AI-driven generative design service that programmatically generates, simulates and iterates on QPTs patented qAttach thermal interface layer for any power module, replacing weeks of human-in-the-loop CAD and simulation cycles with AI-generated topologies and automated optimisation.
QPT, the deep-tech company behind the world's first 1MHz GaN motor drive, today opened customer demonstrations of its MicroDyno test platform, now updated with full Field Oriented Control (FOC) and real-time dynamic cogging correction. The platform is available for in-person demos at QPT's new R&D facility in Edinburgh, with remote-access demos available for international customers unable to travel.
QPT has unveiled MicroDyno, a breakthrough low-voltage motor drive test platform which demonstrates the key benefits of ultra-high frequency GaN-based motor drives. The solution enables greater control and efficiency with lower system complexity and cost, providing significant benefits in the fast-growing cobot market.
